Question Yamaha RX-V596 replacement?

Does anyone know what is happening to the RX-v596 reciever? Richer sounds claim it has been discontinued, but others claim supply problems. Also, if it has been discontinued, wheres the model replacing it?

As far as I know the RXV 596 is discontinued. I managed to get one a few weeks ago from HIFIBiTz but last time i looked leconcepts has them at £299 I think.
(www.leconcepts.com.) If that's what you want.. and thry have one, then I should take it.

The 596 will indeed be discontinued, to be replaced with the RX-V620:

(Run through a translator for more details or just ask me ....)
