Has anyone any opinions-good or bad-regarding DVD IMPORT,
delivery times,customs ect.

They always seem to be one of the cheapest when i'm comparing but i have never used them for some reason

I switched to using them at the beginning of the year when DVDSOON put postage back on.

I've certainly not had any problems with them, and delivery has always been pretty quick, usually about five days. I almost always order below the £18 limit, so never have problems with customs.

I just got Stars Wars boxed set from DVDSOON - $57 Can (£24)- and got wallopped £8.30 in tax and a Royal Mail charge! £8.30 on a £24 item is outrageous! Not a happy bunny!

DVDImport is an excellent retailer. Much better than DVDSoon. Highly recommended.

Ordered quite a few £18+ boxsets in the past 6 months. Not once been caught by customs. Usually delivered in around 5-7 days as well.

I got Return Of The King giftset from them in December, it was sent by FedEx (at no extra cost even though they told me it would be about £8) and arrived the following day with no customs charges.

Thumbs up dvd import

i've used dvd import for a few years now they're pretty good on price and shipping is free, and pretty quick,i understood about not paying customs charges, was because they are a canadian site, and canada is/was part of the commonwealth therefore exempt from customs charges?

btw,i can't get the site to work lately, when i click add to basket the page crashes,i've tried turning off privacy control and ad blocking in norton but no joy,no problem with other sites though

I opened an account with these yesterday but can not find where you sign out/off. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I think they also charge an postage/handling charge.

Just hope I get a much better service than from DVDsoon. I'll see how it goes.

Isnt it commen knowledge that customs watch DVDSoon so its best not to order anything over £18 unless you are prepared to pay the charges?

Anything over £18 its best to use companies like CDWow, Axel Music, Loaded247 and Movietyme as they are customs friendly.
