Is the Toshiba 32zp48 a good TV in its own right?

Hi guys, i'm currently looking for a 32" crt and a few searches suggest that people seem to recommend the Toshiba 32zp48. I was wondering if this recommendation was down to the fact that it includes surround sound for a decent price, or does the tv stand up to competition from sony and panasonic in terms of picture quality and reliability.

Thanks guys

Hi, I haven't compared my 32ZP48 to any of the other makes you suggest. In terms of picture quality I have seen none better, in terms of reliability this model is too new to assess long term reliability, however its likely that the internal electronics/circuitry will be similar/same as previous models - I have heard nothing that would indicate that these models are less/more reliable than any others.

I'm sure Sony/Panasonic are likely to be just as reliable so I wouldn't let that influence you too much. Regards, yt.
