ghost in the shell 2: innocence

i am looking to but this dvd...i have read some concerns about the original issue not carrying an english dub? but that newer versions do...I was planning to buy over the web and would like to avoid getting landedwith one of the older versions...cananyone give me some advice on this...

Oanyego, as far as I know, this has only been released on R1 so far.
The original R1 version had really poor subs (The subs are for "hearing impaired", so they tell you about every sound going on, like footsteps and doors slamming etc. this is the version I have ).

The later releases (V4) have had this corrected, so you get full English subs now but still no English dub.

I have heard that the R2 and R4 versions will have an English dub from the team who did the dubs for GITS SAC tv series, but I have not been able to find a release date details.

So you may be better off waiting for the R2 release.
