Help Please

I have bought a Panasonic Viera and am planning to mount it on the wall.
I have searched the forums and found most of the info I need but would like to know the following:

1. I plan to put it on the wall that has my integral garage the other side and run the cables straight through the wall, up the garage wall and back in behind the TV. Is there some kind of decorative/disguising box that you use to cover the area where the cables are going into the wall ?

2. I have a Panasonic DVD recorder (E85H), a Panasonic video recorder (which I would like to keep for a while as we have lots of videos) and a SKY digibox - what is the best way to connect all these up ? (I won't have a "standard" aerial input to the TV in the new position).

I guess this depends if you want to go through the pain of flush mounting a face plate?

This would be the neatest solution but sinking a back box could be hard work.

The alternative I have been planning is a full sheet of plaster board (2.4m x 0.5m-ish) mounted about an inch off the wall, through and down which I can run all my cables and the plasma / lcd I get will also sit flush against it using a Premier Mount.

Thanks Chris, what I was actually trying to say was that I will simply be drilling a hole right through the wall and feeding the cables through it.
I will then have another hole at the back of the TV which I will bring the cables back in through.
You won't see the top hole as it will be behind the TV but I will need some kind of "box" to cover the bottom hole - didn't know whether there was something on the market that I haven't seen that I could use.

You could fit a couple of 'letterbox' style front plates with integral brushes - simply push the cables through the slot into trunking installed through the wall and up the garage side of the wall.
