rgb or dvi to component

i have a progressive NTSC TV (well its pal but only accepts progressive in ntsc) and i would like to connect to my MCE pc which has a geforce Ti4200. I would like to get the standard ntsc resolution (720x480p?). Is there a conversion process needed?

i noticed that ATI cards seem to output component via vga/dvi, but wondered whether the ati cards used "spare" pins to carry it. Just sold my ati radeon 9800pro and bought this cheapo card to gain some cash .

tia

What TV do you have (make and model)?

If the input is limited to component (YUV) you would needs some converter, VGA or DVI are not compatible to YUV.
