dvi to hdmi converter

Hi guys, i currently have a dvi to hdmi cable connecting into my plasma, but if i buy a dvd player with a hdmi output i would like to connect it to the hdmi of the screen. so can i get a converter or would i need to buy a new cable ( hdmi to hdmi )
