Wow, sounds like a good deal mate, i've been considering getting one to replace my 28-105 in low light situations, and that is a good price I assume you've made a few test shots with it?

Used 28-135mm
trying to get one of these second hand is like trying to find gold dust. I paid £340 for mine new. If it works OK - buy it. I am sure you will find you will be using it a lot.

If you find you don't need it you could probably put it on here for £200+.
I've been looking for a sensible price one for ages.
Steve.

Going rate on ebay was between £225 and £280 when I bought one a few months back and plenty of buyer interest. There are always plenty for sale there! I sold mine quite quickly as I wasn't happy with performance when compared to my other lenses. I liked the idea of an IS walkaround, but it just didn't do well enough for me. Many people love this lens and at that price, assuming it is OK, you can't lose. When you want to upgrade you will easily get your money back.

Hi guys , A bit ******ed off now as the lens developed a fault with the IS system and the seller was not prepared to have it repaired, too expensive he said , so just refunded my cash. so am now without a lens again, will have to do some serious creeping to to missus to let me buy a new one. Mike
