Has anyone looked at the newly released Pioneer 709 reciever? It is supposed to be a direct replacement for the 608. It also has a big brother, the 909. It looks to be a very worthy competitor to the Yamaha 596 or Sony DB940 recievers power wise. Does anybody have any insight or opinion on this or any other Pioneer receiver?

In Canada, the specifications for this receiver are considerably different. Have a look at it and let me know what you think. I think that it looks like a winner 8). Nice looking, powerful, and alot connections both s-video, digital and coaxial. What do you think?
