Actually own the VSA-E03 myself, the 400RRP version of the amp. But I remember reading a review of the E07 some time back and it was the bees knees apparently. The TEST BENCH section of this site gave the E06 4½ stars, so it looks like a safe buy. The price drop is only because new models are coming out, which is usually a way of getting a bargain in the home electronics market.

Yeah, I had a VSA-E06 and it could be a little bass light at times but I suspect that this is my way of saying the same as Tim. Excellent amplifier and I have no doubts that the VSA-E07 will be as good if not better, a bargain.

Cool

I have just got my E07 (Digital Direct £600 inc. next day del) and I think its great!! considering its gold finish, touch screen remote and mass of power (5X140w).

A BARGAIN!!!!!!!

I had the VSA-EO6 for some time and it never disapointed, although it can sound a little bright for music. The EO7 from what I have seen & read, is very similar & adds DTS. It always got very good reviews and is one of the cheapest THX ultra amps out there. I would have no problem recommending this amp.

Thumbs up

Took delivery of my new system last week, E07 (£600 from Digital Direct, on time and helpful)and Def Tech Satellites, Sub and Centre (local dealer). Still 'bedding' the whole thing in but to date it sounds quite stunning. Had no problems with anything to date (except the Amp is a big beast - as are most Home Cinema amps I suppose), so to date I can heartily recommend it. Seems quite flexible, set up is straight forward, it can be a bit bright but I kind of prefer it that way and the learning remote is a bonus. On the down side the set up I have is not as good for music as my Hi-Fi(£800 Teac with Ruark floorstanders), it seems to lack in clarity, especially on acoustic pieces. Not a problem for me as all I wanted it for was Cinema, but bear it in mind if you want a strong dual purpose system. Hope this helps.

I would consider holding out for the 'E08 or at least check it out first. I have the '6 and it's an excellent amp. The only problem I have is with the inability to connect 4mm plugs for the speakers, not sure if the '7 is the same but it is inconvenient.

I would love to get my hands on an E-07 for £600.

A THX Ultra amp for this price, can't be bad.

I have an E07 myself and I love it. Unless you want the latest and great 6.1 stuff I can heartily recommend it. I paid 599 for mine about 7 months ago.
