Well I played around with a 350D earlier today in Jessops, and was totally underwhelmed by it's build & 'feel', the grip would only fit comfortably into a child-sized hand, and my overall impression was that it felt cheap. I'd say Canon will still be making a good margin when the 350D streets for £299 next summer. I've owned 4 Canon digicams, but this model feels so mediocre that I just today become a Nikon convert by plumping for the D70.

people always seem to go on about the size of the 350d but all you need to do is buy the grip £88. at castle cameras

and the faeturs and performance clearly beat the 300d and the nikkon competitor

The grip doesn't help the smaller than comfortable size in the hand (to me at least) as it's not just the grip that is the problem, it's the overall size and layout.

The D50 or the D70s?
