AVR300 4 ohm fronts and 8 ohm surrounds

Hi-

I am new to the forum but have always enjoyed the info it has to offer. I have just acquired some Genesis speakers that are 4 ohm for the front and have for now 8 ohm surrounds. With the AVR300 in 4 ohm mode am I ok with the rest of the system?
Also- Is there any experience out the with the Monitor Audio Gold Ref. 20's? I have two AVR300's and am looking for a good pair of Stereo/HT fronts for under $3000 that can fill up a 20'x20' room.

Thanks
Tom

yeap, 4 ohm would be fine in this setup.

on your speakers: you could also try Sonus Faber or B&W.

Intresting... even when most are 8ohm?

My fronts and backs are custom speakers and are rated at 8ohms but they are efficient as hell.. also my centre is odly at 6ohms...

should i flip it back to 4 ohms?
