I current have 4 klipsch 3.5ohm speakers installed in my ceiling, there were put there by the previous owner. I am looking for an a/b reciever that will have a sub 4ohm load in the sub $300 range. Any ideas?
I think you should be looking at the second-hand market.
Difficult loads and entry level receiver/amps do not go well together. They will be fine for background music, but as the volume increases the amp will struggle.
The Klipsch and $$$ sign gives away the fact that you are not in the UK. Whilst many aspects of home theatre remain the same the world over, unfortunately pricing is not one of them and it is difficult for members of a UK based forum to comment on overseas prices.
We also don't get to hear much about Klipsch over here either.
