Also depends of the speakers, how difficult to drive, the size of the room, what kind of music you listen, etc...

if you compare a £800 power amp to a £2500 power amp is it three times as good or is the differences small.

The law of diminishing returns applies.

The more expensive piece of equipment may well be better (sound and output power), its really down to whether you feel the improvement is worth the extra expense.

The differences may be significant (in your opinion) but will almost never equate to the price difference...

I guess it also depends on the power output it can deliver.
The more power the higher specified components you need and the more expensive it becomes.

And what name is written on the badge ... :D
