picture quality question

Confused. I usually download stills from my Camera onto my DVD-Recorder by inserting the compactflsh card into the PC slot.
However, over the weekend I used the AV out on the camera to the AV connections on my recorder. My question: does is matter how I get the pictures to my E65 (for recording purposes)? will the quality of picture vary between the AV cables and the compactflash route?

I'd have thought that going direct from the CF card to the DVD would be the best way as these would be the full res digital images, the output from the AV cable would be a lo resolution analogue signal.

What are you doing with the pictures after you have them on your recorder? do you make DVD slideshows which then playback in standard DVD players?

yes that's the idea Owain.
Cheers for your input, pretty much as I thought...
