Fixing Plasma bracket on soft wall

Hi guys

has anyone fixed a plasma onto a soft wall using a wall bracket? I intend to do this but I wasn't sure if the soft wall would hold the weight of a plasma at around 30Kg.

By soft wall I guess I mean a partition wall, not a load bearing full thickness wall.

Apologies if this question is a bit dumb, but I'd rather find out now than have to rebuild my wall and have a broken plasma!!

You mean cavity wall such as plaster and lathe or plasterbaord on a wooden partition as opposed to a block stone wall?

Yes that's pretty much what I mean. I did think about drilling the bracket into one of the wooden "beams" to provide a bit more support.

I'm looking at sticking up a 42" plasma.
