Has anyone seen July's issue of Home Cinema, which features a group test of the following British DVD players:
Arcam DV29 (£1600) Rating ****
Cyrus DVD8 (£1200) Rating ***
Linn Unidisk 1.1 (£6500) Rating *****
Meridian G98DH (£3350) Rating ****
Naim DVD5 (£2350) Rating *****
It described the DV29 as "not the best sounding or loveliest looking machine here, but for the money, it's an extremely good contender, especially in view of it's useful level of futureproofing"
Ultimately, it seemed to loose out to the Naim player (the group winner) in terms of CD replay. Rather dissapointing I thought!
