As ever, it never follows that because they are twice the price they will be twice as good. But if it were me I'd be looking at the HS50 or the 7700...PJ

They would all be good projectors I would think, so the only way to know for sure is to try and demo them. Each has it's pros and cons and what might be fine for us might not be for you.
I prefer DLP myself, so my choice would be the 7700 or MT700, but there are plenty of HS50 AE700 owners who wouldn't consider DLP due to rainbows.
