DLP Projector for camera club - Sugestions

Hi,

I need to purchase a DLP video projector for a camera club. It needs to be XVGA at least and I have a budget of no more than £2000 (including spare bulb)

Has any one got any recommendations or experiences. This will never be used for movies but it will need to project at around 6 feet in size and a 4x3 ratio.

Any help appreciated.

Regards

Steve

I think RTFM (Jeff's a dealer who posts on this forum) has sold an NEC to a photographer chappie in the past - I think it was an NEC LT170. Apparently the guy brought along his slide projector and the images from the DLP were better. If you can get a similar demo, then that would prove one way or another whether or not the projector was suitable for your requirements. RTFM is in Horsham if that's of any use, but there are quite a few other XGA projectors available.

Gary.
