Can't comment on the value for money aspect as i can't remember what it originally sold for, but personally i think it's a cracking little system - i preferred it to a similarly priced Denon one when i heard the 2 side by side.

Eallin - any chance you could let us know where you have seen it for that price?

Many thanks

the E150 does sound a lot better than the Denon. RRP of the E150 was £300. Optional cassette and MD decks are available for it.

Sorry for not responding sooner...been away.

Decided to go for it from hificonfidential (www...co.uk)...and I must say it is absolutely great!!! Amazing sound quality from such a small system and great with the Ipod.

Was torn between this and the similar Denons, but for the price thought I couldn't go wrong.

I can't seem to find it on their site

Did you get it in-store?

No, bought it from the website (well over the phone). I have a sneaking suspicion it may have been the last one though.

If you search on Google for 'Yamaha E150' it should show hificonfidential.

I have the E400 version - all seperates with MD and Cassette options.

Fantastic sound quality from every component.

At £150 you can't go wrong for the E150

If you can spend twice this amoun the E600 - replacement for the E400 is here http://empiredirect.co.uk/content/pr...AM-MCRE600.htm
