I would most definitely (at least) try the other way around. Here is why:
LF, which you are currently driving with A90, is more current demanding, meaning it is taxing the power supply more. The power supply in A90 is shared between amp and preamp section and a high current demand from amp section can compromise its power supply to preamp section.
The other disadvantage that I see is that you have to use interconnects for HF instead the shortest possible path in the preamp. The longer the signal path – the more chances for distortion (and IMO it’s way easier to hear distortion in HF).
