Question Digi eye inteference

New to the forums so forgive me if this has been covered before..........

I have my UHF aerial connecting to an amp in the loft.
The amp feeds one TV in a bedroom and also UHF to my Sky box downstairs.

The sky RF2 output feeds into a 2 way amp splitter to the back room and another bedroom.

When I plug the UHF feed from the loft amp into the Sky box it badly affects the Sky picture on the remote TV's.

Is this because its an amplified UHF signal???

My RF2 channel is 65 and the normal Terrestrial channels are between 21 and 31.

Any ideas????

Try changing the RF channel on the Sky box.

I tried this, it was on 68.Didnt seem to make any difference.

Is it ok to feed an amplified UHF signal into the Sky box?

You may have to try several before you get the right channel. There was a discussion about this recently (look back through the forums), and someone posted a link to a web site where you could punch in the terrestrial channels in your area, and it would suggest channels to use to avoid interference.

For technical reasons far too complex to mention here, TV channels can interfere with lots of other frequencies, so you have to choose the Sky box frequency very carefully.

Sorted, the amp is now out of the circuit and all pics are perfect.

Cheers
