Cool HTPC with DVI

Hi,
can anyone suggest a motherboard for xpmce2005 htpc use. DVI interface would be good as i've just got hold of one of those Aldi 32" LCD's and it rocks!

Cant justify the price for this but it looks great;

The Asus Pundit has a DVI output, although it's a barebones, not just a mobo. The AOpen is just divine...

Socket 479 would seem the obvious way to go, with the Aopen being my personal preference because it allows for a graphics card, tv tuner and any additional expansion cards to be fitted without issue. Add to that a quality HTPC case, quiet PSU and slick software setup and you will have a combination hard to beat even with decent quality stand alones. A cheaper alternative would be a Northwood 800fsb based P4 setup with a sub 3 gig processor giving enough power but with good heat characteristics.

ASUS CT-479 Adapter for Pentium M

Hi,

Im thinking of using the following for a queit HTPC;

Asus P4P800-VM Motherboard
ASUS CT-479 Adapter for Pentium M
Pentium M series, maybe 2GhHz or similar slower from ebay

All inside a Silverstone LC02 case

How does it sound, has anypne used the adaptor? I've read the BIOS needs updating before it will boot. Any work arounds?, If i'm lucky the BIOS may be new enough.....
