Just got my terrible 3 month old Philips 610 replaced with the Panasonic DMR-ES10K which really is good. I do have a bit of a problem though, I use a small Ronin M110 portable player to bring with me on my travels but none of the discs I record on the Panasonic will play on the Ronin. And before anyone says "finalise" the discs I have done that. The recorded discs work fine on all the other players in the house. Any Ideas?

Reason: Correction
... and if you have no luck, and have a PC with a DVD writer with bitsetting capabilities, an old trick is to NOT finalise your +R discs in the Panasonic, but to do so in the PC. That way the booktype is set to DVD-ROM, which may extend the compatibility. You may need to write an additional dummy text file in Nero to allow it to finalise.
There's a few 'if's' there, but it might work if the -R's don't.
