Question Stereo Amp/Receiver Advice

I'm looking to buy a stereo amp/receiver in order to use a turntable I've recently purchased. I only intend to use this turntable to play a few records in the house and will be rigging it up to my current hifi in order to use the speakers. What is the kind of thing I should buy? My budget is £80-£100. Thanks.

From what you have said, I wouldn't get an stereo amp or receiver at all.

I would be more inclined to get a phono-preamp
