What budget amp/recv switch video as well?

Hey guys,

A friend of mine is wanting to set himself up with a budget plasma and surround set-up. Do all surround amps switch video (as my Denon 1905) or only some? If only some, can you give my some ideas to pass on?

Cheers.

Most modern amps will switch composite and s-video signals. Some of the entry-level models don't switch component video which would be worth paying the extra for since he has a plasma. It's also worth checking if he's likely to need video upconversion as that is usually even higher up the ranges.

If he wants mroe bang for his buck then he might want to consider my Denon 2803 receiver for sale in the classifieds. http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216504
