Pretty basic question I'm afraid...

Sorry to ask such a dumb ass question...

Whats to stop me buying a Sky + 160 box from eBay and giving some chap out of the Yellow Pages £30 to install it for me? Sky never have to know?

Seems too good to be true...

You have to have a veiwing card to make it work. The viewing card number is locked in specific to a box and has to be registered with Sky before it will work.

Also remember that SKY+ require two feeds so if you don't already have a suitable LNB on the dish you will need to aquire one or pay the installer extra to supply it and if you want a guarantee I would be surprised if you could get the job done for £30
