DVD drive not working

Any ideas? The DVD drive in one of my PC's doesn't seem to recognise anything anymore, if I put any type of disk in it it spins up but then does nothing else. If I check device properties it says it's working properly but I cannot read any type of disk, data, CD or DVD.

I've double checked it's not locked, disabled it reregistered the drivers but nada

Have you installed InCD? It killed mine a while back.

If not, you could delete it from Device Manager and let it re-install it again.

The only software I've put on it recently was the upgrade for TT2. I've tried deleting from Device Mgr and it re-istalls itself but still doesn't "see" any info on the disks.

you could try pushing in the IDE cables to see if they have come loose
