Toshiba XS32 - noise from DVD tray
I'm trying to do a long-distance diagnosis on my sister's Toshiba XS32, and wondered if anyone had suffered these symptoms...
When she ejects a DVD, and in particular a caddied RAM disc, the unit emits a kind of high-pitched grinding noise.
It started a week or so ago, and was only happening when discs were being ejected.
However, the noise is starting up on occasions during playback/recording.
Would I be right in presuming it's a 'send back to Toshiba' job?

Yes, I think so. It shouldn't do this.

Thanks for that Mark.
I'll get her to try and archive the stuff off her hard drive as I presume it's highly likely that the unit won't come back with the contents still on it.
...then get it sent off!
