Pretty much 'par for the course' mate. Never really thought that either of the HD disk camps would back down at this late stage of the game. Their 'talks' seem to sum up as one trying to convince the other to give up now before it gets messy.

Sounds like they are all too proud to give up their babies.

I thought they had agreed to use HD DVD software on Blu Ray disks?

Whatever. I dont care as I will be waiting at least a year after both formats are out before i decide what to do.

DVD is more than good enough for the time being.

Im not too impressed with the PS3 either (probably the first affordable Blu Ray player)

Again ill be waiting a while before i get one as Blu Ray would be one of the reasons for me to do so.

I sort of wish the XBox 360 or the Nintendo Revolution would be using HD or BR.

Since they both decided to stick with DVD it sort of makes me feel like its still way to early for a hi def disk format.

I know this isnt strictly a thread about consoles, but they do play a big part in such matters.

If the PS3 were to sell really well, that would give Blu Ray a huge boost and perhaps the advantage they need to edge out HD DVD.

How could the PS3 NOT sell well? Most people have been waiting a while for this.

I have always been a xbox fan over PS2. However this time I feel hat the PS3 will win the day as the xbox is only dvd based. 50 gig vs 9 gig.

I just wish they would all hurry up
