Arcam DV27A and DVD-A

Hi
I wonder if anyone else has noticed this problem. I was finding that when I put in certain DVD-A discs I couldn't get into the audio set of the disc to select the option of say DVD-A or 2 channel etc. Yesterday I went into the DV27A set up and changed the priority to DVD-A from DVD-V. Straight away I found that I could now access the Audio setup on all my DVD-A discs.

Anyone else had this?

Regards
John

Had that problem once John and now I leave the priority set on DVD-A at all times. It doesn't seem to slow it down when you put a DVD-Video disc in to play so I can't see a downside to leaving like that.

DVD-A or DVD-V setting

Hi All

If you have the player set to DVD-V and insert a DVD-A disk then the player reads the DVD-V compatible part of the disc and so does not see the DVD-A part.

If you want to play DVD-As then you need to have the player set to check for DVD-A first otherwise you will never see the DVD-A part!

HTH

Dave
