Question Screen Tensioning

I currently have a screen made from black-out curtain (it's white in colour), but am having problems tensioning it correctly, to get rid of the creases etc.

What systems are used for the expensive screens? The two I have seen are using eyeltes on a frame (can't find summit cheap enough to make frame and keep it's shape), or velcro, which needs summit to stick to, like the wall, which cannot be done.

I am thinking of temporarily getting some 6mm MDF and painting it white as a temporary solution, this alright?

Cheers

Rick

Rick,

Stewart screens have poppers sewn in tothe material and matching attachments rivetted on to the inside of the frame.

You've obviously seen the velcro style attachment that Vu-Tec use. The velcro thing is only likely to work with stretchy material though.

While I sort out the design for my room I temporarily built a screen from 12mm thick MDF. The 6mm stuff was too bendy IMHO. It's seriously heavy to mount by yourself but I managed it!

By the way, have you now got the thing up and running?
