Post Barco data 600 & DVD

Hi

I have a bd600 hooked up to a DVD player & ITV digital using an RGB scart. All works fine except that I notice when playing a DVD the dark sections of a film are very dark and it is difficult to make out the picture, however this is not the case when using ITV digital, the picture is a lot brighter. Does anybody know why this is the case or is the projector just not up to the job?

How have you got it connected together?

Are you using an RCVDS video switcher or are you going direct?

I am using the official RCVDS video switcher and I can specify seperate brightness, contrast, colour etc. levels for each input.

I may be selling it soon, if you needed one.

It sounds like the voltage output on each device is different.

As Retro says RCVDS 400 would be the answer which allows memories for each input.

Else you will have to change the brightness contrast for each change.

I am using an RCVDS and have the brightness etc different for the DVD & ITV digital. The DVD is set almost to max brightness, the picture is fine in all areas, except dark scenes which makes the picture hard to see.

I asume you have the 25 pin cable connected between Barco and RCVDS

It sounds as if your G2 voltages may be set too low. Its been a while sice I had to do a 600 let me go check and I'll post back.
