Toshiba colour out of sync blue/green screen problem

Hi,
My couple of month's old Tosh 46" DLP has suddenly lost it's colour sync.
Everything's the wrong colour. Blue screen is now green and there's a posterisation effect, shimmer on some colours.

I saw this effect on a Sagem set in Comet a few month's back on a faulty set there. Any-one had this problem? Is the colour wheel going to be the Achilles' heel on these sets?

Any tech's out there can explain what's gone wrong?
Thanks, Thomas.

The set was fixed back at the repair shop, within minutes I think, through the service menu. When I get it back I'll try to find out what the problem was. obviously not life threatening though.
I'll leave a post when I discover what the problem was. It should be able to have been fixed at home if it didn't need spare parts, and if it happens again I'd like to fix it myself if allowed to.
Thomas.

Do you know how to access the service menu as Mrmoo is desperate to find out.

Cheers

BTW I am glad your set is now back to normal.

Thanks for the reply. I will ask Digital Direct. Might be in their interest to let me know as they use another company for repairs, and it is a bother to have two guys come to the house, take it away and return it again.
Regards, Thomas.

Set returned, still not spot on.

My set has been returned, colours back to normal, all fixed in software, but now showing some posterisation artifacts. I'm hoping to speak to a tech from Toshiba, as the engineers who brought the set back were not very familiar with the set.
Don't know the secrets to the service menu, possibly menu button on remote plus mute on TV.
I wouldn't venture there as there are a list of codes and without a service manual it would probably be foolhardy to fiddle.
It would be interesting to get hold of a service manual though.
Thomas.
