Can i still keep my music on the HD3 if i format my PC?

Hi
im gonna format my PC but does that mean when i install sonic stage again, i need to initialise my HD3 and thus format all the music ive got on it?

i dont wanna transfer my whole collection back to the player again. is there a way round this?

have you registered your player? if not do it and all will be well. if you register with sony you can format without any problems if you dont though you cant.

how do i register? you mentioned if i register i can format with any problems, but the whole point is i dont wanna format

sorry i didnt explain properly, i meant you can format your pc no problems.

to register:

open sonic stage
click on edit ->device/media->device/media info
then in the window that pops up you should see the button authorise, then you will contact sony and it will register the player (you need a net connection of course)

or just store the music as normal data via the windows explorer on your hd3 (if you still have enough discspace left).
