Question How do you carry your mp3?

Right.... so summer is pretty much here, and it's the first dry season (haha british summer) since I bought my creative zen xtra. I have been carrying it around in a jacket or coat pocket all winter, but now summer is here, I am not wearing said jackets or coats, and am finding that putting it in my trouser pocket is somewhat less than satisfactory, as not only is it a bit bulky, and I feel the headphone jack is vulnerable, the jigging of it on my leg as opposed to in a jacket pocket means that the battery life has SHOT down, and is making me all cross and bothered.

I was thinking of getting myself a bag with a big enough pocket on the strap to fit my thing in (no pun intended), but couldn't find one.

Anybody else have problems with limited battery due to jiggling, and how do you carry yours to combat this evil? (I don't want to resort to a bum-bag, but this is all I can think of at present!)

Love from

I don't think I've experienced this 'jigging' problem but it is an interesting topic. Do sales of the bigger MP3 players plummet in the summer months due to them not fitting in jeans pockets, and will we see the thinner MP3 players start to take off?

my nw-hd3 fits into my trouser pocket easy, even jeans. plus if you remember which way round it is you can use the controls through the pocket so you dont even have to take it out

Not MP3, but my Sony MZE10 MD player fits in my trouser pocket along with my phone.

Cheers for your responses, however carrying my mp3 in my trouser pocket really isn't satisfactory, as the headphone jack really feels too vulnerable. Hmmm... looks like a bumbag then *shock horror*!!!! This will seriously kill all of the style I gain from my suave as beans b&o headphones!

Eviljohn, you're in bath studying, as am I... you're on a hi-fi forum... any shops you know of in bath that do good 2nd hand audio stuff?

Cheers... and apologies for going off topic, but hey, it's my thread and i'll waver if I want to!

Dunno, as I have to wear a suit to work, so my Zen always goes in there.

If it's warm, and I'm carrying my jacket, I carry the player in my hand.
