Samsung SP50L7HX acessories?

Guys, I am going to buy a Samsung SP50L7HX in the next few days.
However a few reviews and specs I have read state that it comes with a cinema surround system, satellite cinema surround speakers and a little 3 tier glass cabinet which sits on top of the glass base, other reviews and specs dont mention these things.

The Samsung site offers no info that I can see.

What do you get with it? anything other than a remote?

Hi Bobby - welcome to the forum

The 50" Samsung does come with a glass stand as standard. You can see it in Sheep's picture posts:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=32

It does not come with a surround sound speaker system other than the built-in circular speakers that you can see on the left and right of the screen. I've heard that the Samsung lacks bass so you may want to set aside some cash for a decent - but not hugely expensive surround sound system. Check out the speaker packages threads on this forum.

Good Luck - let us know how you get on. The more feedback the merrier we'll all be

Cheers
KableMan

PS. Have you demod the Samsung to help you arrive at your decision? And where are you buying it from?

Thanks KableMan.

Looks the part.
Yeah the glass stand that the xbox etc was on was what I was talking about. That comes with it I presume ?

But get your own speakers and cinema surround. sorted.

After reading the threads on here. Im going to buy it Costco I think. Going to go tommoro and see if they have it. I will let know know how I get on.

Can anyone confirm what kind of weight the glass base of the pedestal will support?

Will it take the weight of the Pioneer VSX-AX5Ai-S AV amplifier (21.2 Kg)?

Not talking about the three tier stand, but rather the actual glass base of the pedestal.

Not worried about it moving, worried about the glass being able to support a VERY heavy (21.2 Kg) AV amp. Notice you have your AV amp on the right hand side of the stand. What make is it so I can check its weight?

Your Sony amp weighs roughly half the weight of my Pioneer, and your remaining components won't make up the other half. The Pioneer is a BIG beast.

I will have to have the AV amp on one side of the stand (21.2 Kg).

On the other side on the three tier rack I will have a DVD player, a DVD recorder and a Freeview Box (approx 10 Kg in total).

So can anyone give me a definitive answer? What weight will the glass shelf on the pedestal support?
