Loewe Articos 55

I'm having a look at a replacemet for my Aconda. Currently here in Holland there is a reputable company selling the Articos 55 for 2600 euros on special. Finally something in this country which is a bargain because for most stuff it's a rip off.

The price has really made me stand up and notice!

There's not a lot of people it seems on the forum that has one of these. Are there any current owners out there satisfied with this set?

Hello mrmc74, my friend has one of these. He imported in from Germany. It is an absolutely stunning TV. Great pictures through Sky (especially sport) and the best viewing angle I've seen on a Rear Projection TV. You've got a real bargain there as my friend paid £4500 for his.

mrmc74, can you tell me wich company and where they are located? I'm trying to demo some rear pro DLP sets but only found the Sagem Axium 50 at BCC and MM. I have asked Samsung and Optoma for names of dealers, but still waiting reply.

Thanks for the replies. Of course I will not be able to take avantage of the offer cause I can't convince the wife !!!!

I've got the flier in front of me. The offer is in store only at Correct in Rotterdam. They are having some sort of special sale for their 65th anniversary. It is available 26th of April.

I have not checked how much stock they have. The price is 2499. Only for sale that day...

Check the following link: www.correct.com

Do you think they would deliver to the UK?

Best thing to do is give them a call...

I spoke to them earlier last week to see how many they had, to which the reply was a number of sets, and in stock.

I didn't check their website before. It doesn't say anything about overseas delivery but the price is 2999.

Even 2999 is a very good price.

Two things that aren't clear to me. Hope someone knows the answer.

1. Does component over scart support progressive or only interlaced? The third scart connection on this set supports component, bu I don't know if there is a difference between component with three cinch connectors and comp. over scart.

2. Does this set have a seperate VGA connection or do you have to use a VGA-DVI adapter cable?

1. Do a search of this site there's plenty of info as loewe has the same connection for other sets.

2. Check loewe website

My parents have bought one at Correct.
Delivery is wednesday . Since I'll be the one to set it up, does anybody want me to try something they wanted to know about this set?

Have a modded XBOX and a PC to test it with. No separate DVD player. HiDef cables for the XBox are on their way. I do have THX demo DVD and DVE Pal to use with set-up. THX glasses are also on their way.

Suggestions and tips for setup are welcome.
