Question Denon 3802 dolby digital ex

Hi, this is my first time in an av forum and my question is this, does anybody know if the denon 3802 decodes dolby digital ex?. If it does what will be shown in the display, and is there any specific switching or menu setting that i should do. I am sure it should but it is not mentioned in the instructions or as a logo on the case.

When the 3802 was released EX was only offically allowed on THX approved products (it was then THX EX, DD EX wasn't available as a home format until the following year), however, you can force the 3802 to decode it by switching on the surround back speakers manually.

As EX is matrixed into the surround channels (not discrete like DTS 6.1 can be) doing this means that the amp is able to decode the signal.

Sorry, no idea mate. I'm running 5.1 at present, 7.1 is on the cards for next year, got to get my projector first though.

It will probably show 6.1 Surround on the Display.
