Question Connect Surround to DVD and Sattelite

I would some help. I have a TV, DVD, Sky Box (sattelite antenna). I want to connect my surround system to each but the cables can only go into either the DVD or Sky Box. I tried talking to a TV store guy but I got the impression he's lost without a cause. Now both my DVD player and Sky have the necessary audio jack inputs and scart plugs. Can someone help out, thanks.

Does your surround system have only one set of inputs then?! What inputs are we talking, multiple phono connections or just stereo phonos (ie if you are using prologic decoding)?
