Question PC DVD Recorder

Apologies in advance for the really stupid question.

I want to get a recordable DVD drive for my PC but want to ensure that I can play the DVDs on my Home DVD Player. Is there anything I need to consider in terms of formats for the Recordable DVD Drive?

Told you it was stoopid...

Thanks

Dan

Most recordable DVD drives are multi format. So the real question should be 'what disks does my DVD player support?'
Check the literature for your DVD player and borrow some +R +RW -R -RW discs to test. Once you know which type of discs will play (and sometimes it can be down to disc speed too) then buy a load and stick with em.
