Sharp 26" LCD G Series Which Wallmount?

Question for those of you who own the Sharp 26" G(3/4/5) series in their various guises.

If you've wallmounted your screen, which mount did you use?

As far as I know they all have VESA fixing mounts dont they? Probably 100mm x 100mm? If so try these brackets from Ricam ... http://www.ricamstore.co.uk/erol.html#376x0&&
Ignore the size recos. I have mailed them and its the max weight thats important. The sizes stated were simply a guide. I have ordered the twin arm one in chrome and for £44 it's very well priced.

Try one of these.

Excellent product but obviously more expensive. Went up great though.

Cheers

Why would you advise this guy to pay twice as much as the Ricam mount just because you did?????

Seriously the only difference in the two is the max weight allowance. Your mount takes 10kg (50%) more load and then there's the cosmetics of course. Ricam's finish on that twin armed mount is sliver or chrome (I ordered mine in chrome). Even in chrome it is half the price!

He has a Sharp 26" which at best probably wont weigh more than 14kg 'ish' when its table stand is removed.

Ps I'm still assuming the Sharp has Vesa mounts

BADA55,

Yes, it does have VESA Mounts,100mm. I also have the Sharp 26" and found it very easy to wallmount.

When I chose my mount the most important thing for me was knowing that the weight issue wouldn't be an issue, and also it was recommended by another member on the forum. I did look at the cheaper ones before I eventually chose that one. The recommendation was absolutely spot on.

I believe you get what you pay for. I did and I am satisfied.

I'm sure you know that to test these brackets to conform to regs the manufacturers need to test them to destruction at more than twice their recommended weight?

As far as I am concerned paying more isnt neccessarily any guarantee of receiving a quality item. My friend is an engineer and using good quality steel can knock one of these mounts up for under a £5 and thats a one off ! Shame he didnt have the time to make me one though . These Ricam (B-TEch) mounts are well engineered and are not overpriced like so many are.
