I thought it was very funny.
Just really quirky and kept me hooked in, as I really didn't know what to make of it.
If you've read a review and you think, yes that looks like its for me then it probably is. If you think no - then it probably won't be. i.e. if you think that a film about two OAP's who think they're Elvis and JFK who go to battle with a mummy, could be funny - you may just find it is. If you think that sounds stupid then - it is....

Great film, I own it on R1 dvd
Its a strange genre of film though, its definately not a *comedy horror* as you may imagine from reading a description of it.
Its more of an examination of aging and dignity in old age as well as portraying a fictional perhaps more just and fitting end to the Kings life.Bruce Campbell is excellent as Elvis :smoke:

Well for me I loved it..............Just wish that I could see it again for the first time.
Personally I think that the less you know about the film before seeing it the better, that way you will have no expectations.
A lot of films on the forums can be built-up too much which can spoil a film.
Also films can be given a bashing which are not that bad in the end.
Suppose it comes down to though is not everything is for everyone so everyone will have opinions which they are entitled too.

I love Bubba Ho-tep, but it's definitely not for everyone. Despite having an absolutely wild premise, the film is actually a slow, methodical character study. Yes, it's got gags and scares, but for me the real charm is the dialogue and performances of the two main characters.
If you enjoy it, be sure to check out "The King"s commentary track before you return the DVD. Masterpiece!

loath i'm afraid. I just found it really boring and not at all funny. I think it's definitely one for Brucey fans, which i'm not really one of (apart from as Ash of course)

I loved it. Best role for Bruce since Evil Dead. Both great films.

I thought it was very over-rated. I wouldn't say I loathed it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again. Bit of a stupid story, in my opinion.

Dross in my opinion, which to me is the only one that matters!
Superb film and wipes the floor with most of the big budget tripe coming out of the Hollywood studios these days. RIP Ossie Davis
