Hi G,

It should be due out in a small amount of UK cinemas later this year! Don't expect to see a UK DVD release, however, until very early next year, unless we don't get a cinema release at all, in which case "Steamboy" will come direct to DVD towards the end of 2005!

Cheers Pooch, was hoping I would be able to see it in one of the local multiplex but more than likely it will be an independent cinima that picks it up.

I'm really ****** off that since I moved to the UK, nothing ever gets released over here, or not properly ><;

In France we get all these great anime movies just afew months after the original JP release!!! Take Howl no ugoku shiro, it was released in France in January, and steamboy back in November...

I suspect the R2UK DVD to be the same as the R2 French DVD which is due to release next month... or is already released, I forgot, but without any english I suspect.

there is a pirate version with english subtitles , so it must be released somewhere already/soon?

a serach has thrown up that no - no english subs on french version.

UK version out about 6th June.

CD WOW have the directors cut encoded by superbit for £12.99 and Play has the normal version at £14.99 and Directors cut Limited Edition for £24.99.

CD WOW looks the better deal.

much (all?) of their stuff is shipped from HK (as in Asia) - may be that's why

If it was sent today when do you recon we will get it. I have only ever ordered from CD-WOW a few times and I can't recall it taking very long.
