This brings back memories! I remember watching this when I was a kid and remember being quite scared.
Not sure whether to buy this as I have fond memories of it, if I watch it again it may just be rubbish (rose-tinted glasses and all that!)
The most bizarre thing I remember about this film was the use of 'New moon on monday' by Duran Duran on the film soundtrack ,was it on the end credits?
i dont remember much about it, other than it being pretty frightening, but it came out so long ago. I think i will buy it, especially if i can find it online at a cheap price, cos theyve at least gone to the effort of remastering the soundtrack, where as famous films like candyman or friday 13th get re-released with crap soundtracks!

I love this film, and have been waiting for its release since DVDs first appeared. But it finally comes with a bit of sadness: It's sad to note that Arkie Whitely died a few years ago.

A Special edition version of Razorback is being released in Australian and is coming out september 21st. A 2:35:1 transfer with remastered dolby 5.1. The Umbrella release will be much better than the Anchor Bay or any other release. Its all regions but you need a PAL system.
The dvd also has:
Deleted Scenes
Doco "Jaws on Trotters" which is 70 minutes long interviews with Director Russell Mulcahy, Producer Hal McElroy, Razorback designer Bob McCarron and cast members Judy Morris, Chris Haywood
Audio recollections from Gregory Harrison
Theatrical Trailer
Stills and poster gallery
In my view get the Umbrella version!

Thanks for that great news, Gordon. Can you recommend an on-line dealer for Australian discs? Cheers.

Thanks for that, I've just ordered it :smashin:
Two questions, what has been taken off at the end, the total came to £13.50, with P&P, is that right?
Also do you know if the Razorback DVD comes with a CD soundtrack?
Thanks again :smashin:

They take off Australian Goods and Services Tax, I believe, (their version of VAT) as it's an international order.
And no it doesn't.

Is it 2 disks?

Nope. The transfer's the same (fine) one as the Anchor Bay R2, I believe, with the same audio options (DD2.0, 5.1). It has much, much better extras though - the doc's 70-mins long and it has the grisly (not really that grisly, but nevermind) stuff cut from the original Australian release to ensure an M rating as fullscreen deleted scenes (not the greatest quality, but hey).
