The Last Curtain Call Of The Late ………UPDATED 12.4.2007

Just thought I’d let you Know Robert Urich died this morning, of a rare cancer, and was only 55. He was married to Heather Menzies (who stared in the TV series Logans Run as Jessica). He was most remembered for Spencer for Hire, and Dan Tanna in Vegas. He also starred in S.W.A.T. and more recently was seen on Sky in The Lazarus Man which I quite enjoyed. He had to stop staring in this role because of the cancer and it was thought to be in remission and he started taking other roles such as the Captain Jim in Love Boat: The Next Wave.

Spencer: The Judas Goat is on tomorrow on Ch5 15.30

I also believe he was a huge film fan and had a mega theatre with stacked Runco projectors.

Thats a shame.

He was a pretty young guy really.

I remember him well. Used to watch Vega$ regularly.

I use to like watching him too, I think Spencer For Hire is the clearest memory to strike. When younger I use to confuse him with the drug addled Stacy Keech.
Terrible way to go.

He always sticks in my mind with the film The Ice Pirates. A very funny sci-fi film with time jumps near the end of the film that make it hilarious. The loss of a great actor.

The Last Curtain Call Of The Late ………

This is a column/thread devoted to passing of a star, director, composer, entertainer, TV personality, etc., no matter how great or small, and in way of a thank you for entertaining us. Without you what use would all our AV equipment be.

Thanks to Jase for the help and Spectre for allowing it.

Garrett

Tried merging the previous threads into this one but as you can see it bungs them in date order. Sent a quick PM to Spectre and with this version of the board software its not possible to move posts around within threads!! So I cant put your thread description back up to the top. Sorry!!

Let me know if you want the others merged, not sure how they´ll fit in here though so might be best to start new posts.

Cheers

Jase

The above by me was meant to encompass singers and presenters including Christopher Price.
Sorry Sean, I don’t know Liza, would you like to write something about her.

Jase if Spectre can't move things round is it all right if I edit my posting on Robert Urich And put my starter at the top of his obituary?

Zone I’m with you on that, lets hope there is not too many young guys and gals.

;Lisa "left eye" was a talented individual. Not many of us/you will know her but I suspect you will know the songs she sang on. Only last weekend I heard "Unpretty" and decided I had to actually go and buy a TLC album...I didn't and now I regret it.

I feel very sorry for her friends and family and look forward to the release of TLC's next album and hope it is a fitting rememberance for another talented individual who has died too young....

In peace,

Gordon

Feel free to edit the Robert Ulrich post, the only other option would be to delete posts within the thread to move yours up, but I dont want to do that to be honest.

Cheers
