Denon AVC-A1SE fault

Hello everyone,
I have a Denon AVC-A1SE amp from new (not upgraded). When I turn it on now I just get the red light above the power switch, there is no display and you can`t hear the amp clicking into life it`s just dead. I have tried the Microprocessor Initialization procedure that it says in the manual, where you hold the direct and stereo buttons together and turn it back on, now after a few attempts this does seem to work but as soon as you turn the amp off you are in the same situation, try to turn it back on and you just get the red light !
Does anyone know if the amp has gone into some sort of safe mode or have I caught a button or something ?
Any suggestions to get the amp back to normal are very welcome.

Could it be a short in your speaker wire and the amp going into protection mode, check all speaker wires, or disconect all speakers and try again.

I have just tried all the speakers and that doesn`t make any difference.
