hacking the ALBA 103 Xi

I have just bought a ALBA 103. A friend recommended this machine as it was cheap and multiregion, he owns one himself and it works perfectly. However when I bought mine it only plays region 2 discs. it seems I have bought an Alba 103 Xi, a newer machine to my friends. I wondering if anyone has a hack for this newer ALBA machine so I can play all regions.

I have just been onto a website for the Alba 103, I don't think the Xi will be much different, this web site says to go to a section in the manual that lists preferences and it tells you in the manual how to do it.

thank u richard<br />I have checked the manual but it mentions nothing about changing region code. It mentions something about about a locale code but I am unsure what this means. could u post the URL of the ALBA 103 site. thanks.
