I currently own the Japanese model Pioneer DV-S737 which is Region 2 NTSC only. Wanting to modify so it handles Region 1 NTSC discs but can't find a shop that handles non-PAL players.
Anyone know of a mod for this player ?

Modifications to the region coding are not related to the video norm (i.e. PAL/NTSC).
Therefore I would assume that the mod for the UK player will also work for the Jap. player, but you need to confirm this with the company doing the mod. Try e.g. www.techtronics.com (http://www.techtronics.com)

I tried both LinkOnline and Techtronics but they both insisted their mod only works on PAL compatible players hence this posting.
