also i thought michael mann would have been nominated for direction

Hopefully this will be the year that Eastwood gets recognised for directing talent.

It would be nice, but with both him and Scorsese on the list it is a tough one.

Hi,

Bad news, I'm afraid folks! It seems if you want to watch live coverage of this year's ceremony, you'll have to pay extra for it!

It appears (at the time of writing) that the BBC has lost the rights to show free all-night coverage, as they've done in the past, to the 's at Sky. Worse still, Sky have decided to only air the live show on Sky Movies 1!

So, not only will you have to subscribe to Sky itself, but on-top of that, you'll have to pay for the Movies Package as well! Sky 1 will show a Monday night, one-hour round up of highlights, but that's it!

Why do Sky have to ruin everything that used to be available for free on the BBC, for everyone to watch?!

I have the movies package with Sky but will still miss Jonathan Ross presenting and doing the interviews...
